New podcast episode: Optimising treatments with the new MAMS-ROCI design
21 Sep 2023
In the latest episode of the Trial Talk podcast, we explore the MAMS-ROCI design, a type of multi-arm multi-stage design that can be used to optimise any continuous aspect of a treatment, such as frequency, duration or dose.
Matteo Quartagno, a statistician from the MRC CTU at UCL, talks about the motivation for developing this new design and key factors to consider when planning to use it. He presents the REFINE-Lung trial as an example of how researchers can use the MAMS-ROCI design to find out how often we should be giving immunotherapy to treat lung cancer.
The Trial Talk podcast is hosted and produced by Charlotte Hartley and Berta Terre-Torras, our Science Communications Officers. For questions or feedback on the series, message us on Twitter @MRCCTU, LinkedIn, or send us an email.
