New podcast episode: How can clinical trials make the most of healthcare systems data?

26 Jun 2023

A new episode of Trial Talk has been released today!

In this episode, we explore the opportunities and challenges of using data from healthcare systems in clinical trials.

Dr Macey Murray and Professor Matt Sydes, two clinical trial methodologists from the MRC CTU at UCL, highlight examples of trials that have used healthcare systems data to save time and resources, improve recruitment, and reduce missing data. They also discuss the unit’s data utility comparison studies (DUCkS), which investigate how well healthcare system datasets match up to data collected in clinical trials.
