PediCAP recruits its first participant

The PediCAP trial recruited its first participant this afternoon. The participant was recruited at the Makerere University Lung Institute in Uganda, the first site to be open to recruitment into the trial. The trial is looking at the best way to treat children aged 2 months to 6 years who have pneumonia that has developed at home and is so serious that they need to be treated in hospital.
