STOPCAP M1

Identifying treatments for advanced prostate cancer

STOPCAP M1 is a worldwide collaborative effort that aims to quickly identify which treatments work best for men with advanced prostate cancer. This will be done through:

Systematic reviews of treatment effects

Reviewing trial results and data in new and different ways to find out quickly which current treatments work best for which men and fast-track the best treatments to men who need them

Identification of surrogate outcomes

Trying to find early measurements of prostate cancer control that predict later survival to shorten the duration of future trials and find out the effects of new treatments quicker

A repository of patient data

Building a database of pseudonymised patient data to tackle new questions about advanced prostate cancer and its treatment as they arise and establish a worldwide collaboration of researchers to plan the most important new trials.
